_{(my obsession with this show is horrible. but i don't give a damn, it's an amazing cartoon.)

a quick doodle i started a could of days ago and decided to finish up today before i pass out in bed due to exhaustion.

like the title states, they're rex's and cesar's parents. well, my version of them. i came up with the designs some time before the Heroes United special came out and i really wanted to draw them.

and then the newest episode ("Assault on Abysus") came out where MoA reveals what the father looks like, and...no. not a fan. so i just had to do this pic.

anyway, no references used for this pic, blahblahblah- i'm off to sleep.

Shush yourself, your obsession with this show is beautiful.

There are so many little things I like about this (would it be strange to say I really like the shape of Rafael's ear? Eh, I'll roll with it), and Violetta's smile is just gorgeous. And aaah your shading and overall rendering is just aaaaahhhhhhh. Plus I can see a lot of the Salazar brothers in this; to me it looks like Rex has his father's nose and his mother's eyes.

So whoo, good job!

Yeah, I was actually kinda surprised with Rex's dad's design too. At least, when I actually found a site that had the freaking episode working. I'm not opposed to it, and I loved seeing Rex's memories (though the one where he drew himself as the giant robot EVO was a little creepy) but I kinda thought Rex's dad should have a beard sort of like the one you did in this picture

_{i loved the flashback moments and how they were done- very clever MoA C: his design though....there's just something about it i don't like. i guess it's how too similar he looks to rex, and how it's kinda half-ass'd. i don't know, i just don't like it D:}

That's exactly how I feel! I think he made it look like an older Rex, and I don't really like it. I also wish he would have shown Rex's mom as well, it seems stupid that the only picture there is just the two of them instead of a family photo, I mean at the very least he could have included Cesar right?
